The summer season is coming to an end in Verbier. After a slow start towards the end of June, the summer flourished into full swing throughout July and August with even a little bit of summer skiing thrown-in in July! Compared to the last few summers, the number of summer tourists has definitely increased due to some great developments of events in Verbier.
Jumping International de Verbier
This is one of the biggest international events in Verbier! Every year the horse jumping competition features some of the best riders in Europe. This year Lucia Vizzini scored a victory in the Csi3* competition. The Italian rider qualified for the jump off together with six others and won in a time of 34.53 seconds.
Bruson cable car
Everything seems to be on schedule with the construction of the Le Chable – Bruson cable car. After the pylons were constructed at the end of July, now we can see the cables coming up. We are looking forward to the opening in December!
Solmai 51
A new fitness & spa centre opens it doors in Verbier on 1st September, called Solmai 51. The centre features a gym, studio and large spa facility including a hammam. Located next to the Denner supermarket it offers different kinds of memberships in a price range between CHF 145 and CHF 320, but is also accessible on a day rate.
