Next year Verbier is planning to host the ‘Verbier Summit 2015’, a World sustainable development forum on the 9th and 10th July 2015. The expectation is that the forum will attract world leaders, including business leaders, government ministers and personalities from the worlds of fashion, arts and sports.
“The ‘Verbier Summit 2015’ will be a global forum of the kind of Davos”, says World Climate Ltd. director Michael Mathres, one of the initiators of the event. He is working to set up the event in collaboration with the local Botza Association, an organization that supports projects, studies and activities that have a positive impact on the environment and sustainable development.

The ‘Verbier Summit 2015’ will be officially presented to the press before the end of this year. “We want the municipality of Bagnes to become a benchmark for sustainable development. All events and thoughts in this direction so far have had a good response from the municipality,” says Eloi Rossier, President of Commune de Bagnes.
