Time flies when you are having fun! It is mid-April and the season is slowly coming to an end. Although, we are still able to ski all the way down to Verbier town and, there are not many ski resorts where this is still possible!
The last proper dump of snow was just before our last weather update the end of March. Since then the sun has been out almost every day and the temperature was well over the seasonal average. It influenced the snow conditions, but it looks like we will be able to continue skiing until the end of the season (4th of May).
Snow conditions Mont Fort, Attelas, Ruinettes and Verbier
At the moment the conditions are still good high up the mountain. Mont Fort received about 10 cm of fresh snow a week ago whilst it was raining up to Fontanet. On Attelas the conditions are also fine, especially on Lac des Vaux. Lower down it is slowly getting more challenging with very slushy conditions at La Chaux, the M25 and Ruinettes in the afternoons.
Weather forecast
If we have a look at the weather maps for the next days it looks like we are going to have another week full of sunshine. From Saturday we may get some fresh snow and of it would be great to ski some end of season powder. Can’t wait!
