Over the coming months we would like to keep you updated with some of the recent developments in and around Verbier and the 4Vallees ski area.
Bruson lift
The construction of the new cable car from Le Châble to Mayens de Bruson is in full swing and it is scheduled to open at the start of the ski season. The lift will run straight from the current cable car station of Le Châble up to the newly developed area of Mayens de Bruson (between La Côt et Moay). The Bruson ski area, known for its great powder tree skiing, will now be accessible in approximately 20 minutes from Verbier.
Siviez to Plan-du-Fou lift
More great news about our ski area is the new cable car from Siviez to Plan-du-Fou. Telenendaz has received permission to build this new 8 place cable car and have reported it will be opening around Christmas time. The lift will replace the current slow chairlift from Siviez and the button lift used to reach Plan-du-Fou.
W-Hotel – Verbier
The development of the Trois Rocs site at Medran is almost finished, which means the brand new W-Hotel will be opening at the start of the winter season. The first alpine retreat run by the W-Hotel group looks very exciting and we are looking forward to see what it will have to offer.
Verbier Festival
The Verbier Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this summer and runs from 19th July to 4th August. The Verbier Festival is a two and a half week festival of classical music, which attracts world famous musicians in this genre. This summer The Verbier Festival and Altitude Camps have welcomed sixty talented musicians aged 15 to 17 as part of the new ‘Verbier Festival Music Camp’. Known worldwide for the quality of its music education initiatives, the Verbier Festival has invited these aspiring musicians to receive high-quality tuition. They will take their first steps towards a career in music and have the opportunity to train under the musical direction of Daniel Harding.
That’s it for now, more info coming soon!
