Summer has arrived here in Verbier! We have been enjoying a serious heat wave for over a month, with temperatures between 25 and 35 degrees and it looks like this weather will be staying with us for a while. Our Summer Camps program started three weeks ago and have proven to be a great success again. Over the next few weeks Verbier is going to be buzzing with activities. Here’s a quick update about what’s going on in town.
Place Blanche beach is open

The W-hotel beach at Place Blanche is officially open. Following the success of last summer, the beach is back and is THE place to be in summer. There are sunbeds, a beach volleyball pitch and a lounge area where you can enjoy a refreshing soft drink or cocktail. For swimming, head to the outdoor pool at the Sportscentre, open every day throughout the peak summer season, weather dependent.
Verbier Festival

The Verbier Festival officially kicked off this weekend. The 22nd edition will host some great musicians and amazing concerts and workshops. We are proud to announce that we are partnering with the festival to organise the Verbier Festival Music Camp. The Music Camp hosts a group of young, talented musicians aged 15 to 17 who will take their first steps towards a career in professional music.
Marché de Verbier
This summer Verbier will again host the summer market. Every Sunday over the next few weeks there will be an artisanal market on the Rue de la Poste where you can find delicious regional food and handcrafted products. The market will be held 19th and 26th of July and 2nd and 9th of August.
Swiss National Day
The Swiss National Day on the 1st of August is a national holiday in Switzerland. In Verbier the Swiss National Day is traditionally celebrated with the ‘Kermesse de Verbier’, a great craft and bar market held in the Rue de la Poste on the 31st of July and 1st of August. The day will finish off with a great firework display as always.
