Last week I told you we were expecting about 30-50 cm of fresh snow by the end of that week. It definitely happened, so we enjoyed deep and soft powder on Friday. However, we had to watch out for the sharks in the fields as we still didn’t have enough snow to cover all the rocks.
But, for sure I can tell you that we don’t have to care about this anymore the next weeks. Yesterday it started snowing late in the morning and it kept on until early this morning. Result: approximately 30 cm in the village, 60 cm up at Carrefour and even more than 1 meter (!) of fresh snow above Ruinettes.
Today the area has been closed due to the massive snowfall and they might be closed tomorrow as well. It’s dumping at the moment again and if I check the weather forecast we might be getting another 20 cm of fresh snow in the village tonight. Until Sunday morning they expect another 30-50 cm, so for sure we can conclude that there will be enough snow to open all lifts soon.
