Over the last 10 days it has been dumping in Verbier! Last week we received a lot of snow, but unfortunately the rain destroyed most of it below 1,800 mtrs. This week conditions have been better, the temperature dropped and more than a metre of snow fell in resort.
Snow conditions Verbier
After a difficult start of the season we are gradually getting back towards normal snow levels for the current time of year. The conditions are perfect at the moment and most slopes will be open this week.
High avalanche risk in Verbier!
The high temperature and wind have affected the snowpack, so we still need to be aware of the high avalanche risk in resort! The risk will stay high over the next couple of days, so please be safe up there whilst enjoying the fresh powder. There have been several avalanches in the region, one come down today between Creblet and Col des Mines. Please read the blog for more information.
Over the next couple of days more snow is forecast and the freezing level will stay around 0 metres. The sun will be back this weekend and it looks like next week we will have blue skies.
