Finally the summer has arrived in Europe and the school holidays have started. After a well deserved spring break the lifts in Verbier opened a few weeks ago, the restaurants and bars are open and Verbier Beach is waiting for you. Verbier is ready for the summer season!
Opening times of the lifts
Like every summer, we can now use the lift facilities of the ski resort to enjoy the nature in Valais. Since 5th July the cable cars are open from Le Châble to Verbier, to Fontanet, to La Chaux, to Gentianes and to Mont Fort. Also the cable car of Savoleyres is running together with the La Tzoumaz cable car.
Verbier offers more than 800 kilometers of mountainbike trails and endless walking and hiking opportunities.
Outdoor Swimming Pool Verbier
The outdoor swimming pool, aka Verbier Beach, is open again. It offers an indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, an outdoor swimming pool with diving board and two beachvolleybal courts. The pool is open to everyone and is the place to visit when you would like to relax for a day.
W-hotel beach
The W-hotel only opened last winter and they keep developing every season to make it as comfortable as possible to their guests and other visitors. This summer they have created a beach at Place Blanche and a lounge terrace where you can enjoy the sunshine and relax in their deckchairs.
Verbier Festival
The 21st Verbier Festival celebrated its opening on Friday. Until the 3rd of August 50 professional music concerts will take place. This year the Verbier Festival welcomes the most famous artists of today, including Ramón Vargas, Martha Argerich, Vittorio Grigolo, Daniel Hope, Grigory Sokolov and Rolando Villazón.
Altitude Summer Camps
Since the last week of June the Altitude Summer Camps are running every day. This year we have the Language Camps, Mountain Adventure Camps, Multi Activity Camps and the Verbier Festival Music Camp. We offer Residential Camps for children from 8 – 16 years and Day Camps for children from 3 to 16 years.
