London is awaiting the construction of its very first indoor ski centre, rumoured to be opened in 2015! A giant snow dome next to the Olympic Park site in Stratford will feature several runs of varying difficulty, snowboard ramps and an ice-skating rink. According to the latest news the complex will be around 20.000 square metres, with a longest run being about 300 metres.
The indoor ski resort will be double the size of any other indoor ski area in Britain and it will be comparable in size to the Ski Dubai facility in the United Arab Emirates. The attraction will be open all year-round and it will hope to attract up to three million visitors a year.
