The summer season is coming to an end in Verbier and it is becoming very quiet in town. The autumn season so far has consisted of beautiful sunny days and a colourful flora. In town, everyone is getting ready for another great winter season and in this blog we would like to update you with the latest news.
Carrefour restaurant development
The restaurant ‘Le Carrefour’ is one of the leading mountain restaurants in Verbier. Unfortunately the restaurant has been closed over the summer and autumn to allow a complete refurbishment and extension of the existing restaurant and terrace. This week whilst driving past Carrefour we were surprised to see a brand new umbrella cover. We are looking forward to seeing the newly styled restaurant at the opening in December.
New slope at Savoleyres
Whilst driving up to Croix de Coeur the construction of a new slope is visible. Over the last couple of seasons the route Planards-Carrefour was often closed due to avalanche risk and with this solution Verbier offers a better route down for people skiing on Savoleyres.
Verbier town
Like every year, there are a lot of rumours about new developments in bars and
restaurants. The Farinet is under going a complete renovation by the new owner and we are eagerly anticipating the results of this come the start of the winter. The restaurant at Ruinettes and the Ice Cube bar are also under going construction and renovation work and we will keep you updated on when they will open in December!
