Altitude partnership with Verbier Music Festival

This summer Altitude Verbier will host a brand new concept at the Verbier Festival, The Verbier Festival Music Camp. During a 3 week period a group of talented musicians between the ages of 15 and 17 will have orchestra training, attend concerts, explore the many leisure and sporting activities of Verbier and, at the end of the camp, they will have the unique opportunity to perform twice on the stage of the Verbier Festival’s main concert hall.
During the music camp Altitude Verbier will take care of all non-orchestra training activities. The musicians will stay in traditional Swiss chalets, permanently staffed by our qualified summer camp leaders who will coordinate breakfast and dinner meals, organize cleaning schedules, supervise all ‘down time’ and ensure that curfews are respected.
Verbier Festival
The Verbier Festival Music Camp, alongside the prestigious Verbier Festival Academy (created in 1994), the Verbier Festival Orchestra (created in 2000), and the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra (created in 2004), have set standards of excellence, creativity and innovation in music education worldwide. By launching this new programme in their 20th anniversary year, the Verbier Festival reaffirms its commitment to the next generation, offering even younger musicians a first-rate stepping-stone towards a successful music career.
The two public concerts of the Verbier Festival Music Camp have been scheduled on 23 July, 2.30pm, and 27 July, 2.30pm. More information of the Verbier Festival Music Camp can be found at http://www.verbierfestival.com/musiccamp
