For skiers with ISIA Level 3 Ski lessons

 

Altitude are offering a seasonal Level 4 training program to all ISIA instructors and ISIA course participants. Depending on your experience and needs it is possible to choose from either the Level 4 Development Course or the BASI Level 4 Training.

Altitude has more than 10 years experience training BASI ski instructors in preparation for Level 1,2,3, and 4 exams. Altitude will help you to achieve your goals and guide you on a clear pathway to success.

  • Training
You will develop both your technical and teaching performance beyond the ISIA Level. Work and live as a ski teacher with Altitude. Each student will have their own dedicated mentor to offer them ongoing support throughout the training.

Having attended this course you will be in a perfect position to move towards the Level 4 training, exams and beyond.

Technical Training

  • Train with Level 4 ISTD’s, Swiss Federal coaches and Italian Racers
  • Individual training plan based on your objectives
  • 10 hours of Piste training in Dec.
  • 15 hours of off piste adventures
  • 25 hours technical development in January
  • 15 hours Race training in Feb.
  • 15 Hours of moguls dev in March
  • Second discipline training in Tele or Snowboard

Teaching Development

  • 20 hours of on snow coaching in Dec
  • 15 hours of shadowing race camps
  • 10 sessions of ski analysis
  • Opportunities to run supervised gap sessions
The futures training team includes BASI trainers, BASI Level 4’s, ex Italian Racers, Argentinean Demo Team members, Swiss Patents and Italian Maestro’s. You will benefit from expert training with skiers from different systems which will ultimately help you to become an all round stronger skier.

The training program includes a combination of piste performance, race training, bumps, and off piste training. Our goal is to improve your skiing and prepare you for the Level 4 BASI exams and the Eurotest. You will also be working for the ski school during the busy weeks of the season providing lessons to our clients or varying abilities.

Technical Training

  • +200 hours of professional training with expert coaches
  • BASI Level 4 Mentor is on hand 24/7
  • Piste – longs and shorts development*50 hours
  • Racing with ex Italian Racers *80 hrs
  • Bumps and variables training *50 hours
  • Agility and coordination training with Swiss Federal coaches
  • Mountain Safety days with Argentinean expert
  • Weekly fitness, strength and agility training
  • Après-Ski party time (not compulsory)

Teaching Development

  • Valuable teaching experience with Altitude Ski School *Verbier’s longest established BASI Ski School
  • There will be some opportunities to teach Gap/ISIA students (supervised sessions)
  • Our students will be offered career advice from industry experts
