Important Information for Parents

Altitude Ski & Snowboard School request that all parents read this information and make sure all the points are covered, regardless of the age or level of the children. This will help ensure that everything will run smoothly and will keep the learning environment as safe and fun as possible for our most precious customers- your kids!
It is essential that children come prepared with the following:
* Helmets (To be worn by all children under 13 years old)
* Appropriate warm and waterproof gloves and clothing
* Suitable eye protection – glasses or goggles with UVA filter
* Pocket money for Hot-Chocolate breaks (CHF 10.- per day)
* Be able to use the toilet unassisted

Details for the instructor of any medical conditions and dietary requirements must be made known to the Altitude office staff and instructor prior to all lessons.

If a client has a child in a lesson with Altitude, but does not arrive within 15 minutes of the agreed time to pick up the child, we will have to enforce a charge of CHF 50 per half hour.

Policy for – Polar Bear Lessons / Group Lessons / Performance Clinics

Altitude’s policy on polar bear groups, group lessons and performance clinics for both children and adults, is that once booked and confirmed, all lessons with only 1 or 2 participants will run for a reduced time of 2 hours (for half day lessons) or 4 hours (for full day lessons). Any polar bear groups, group lessons and performance clinics with 3 or more participants will run for the full duration.

Cancellation Policy

Any bookings that are cancelled within 1 week will incur a charge of 50%. For lessons in New Year Week and ½ Term (27th Dec 15 – 2nd Jan 16 and 14th Feb 16 – 20th Feb 16), any bookings cancelled within 2 weeks will incur a charge of 50%.

All bookings not cancelled more than 48 hours in advance will not be refunded.

In the case of lesson cancellation due to lift closure, injury or sickness, adverse weather conditions, breakdowns of mechanical installations or other incidents beyond the company’s control Altitude will not be liable to provide the client with a refund. We advise our clients to take out adequate insurance to cover them in the case of cancellation.

Altitude declines all liability in the case of an accident that occurs during any lesson or company run event. Altitude reserves the right to cancel any session if payment is not settled in full before the lesson.

Altitude Ski & Snowboard School – Late Fee

Because of the nature of our business and the fact that we are often very busy and must move promptly from one session to another, we must insist on our guests being punctual. Instructors are asked to wait for clients for up to 45 minutes. If the client has not called our office or the instructor to say they will be late within this time the instructor is entitled to leave and the client will be liable for full payment of the lesson.

Lift passes and equipment are obligatory and are not included in our prices.
Participation in any of our activities does not include insurance. We strongly recommend that our clients have adequate medical cover.
